134 [and probably more] food companies will be coming together in two weeks’ time to host one of my most anticipated events of the year, The International Food Exhibition Philippines 2010.
Needless to say, everybody loves food, especially when there are free tastes in store. And I, for one, am not going to miss an opportunity as such.
IFEX is an annual event where different food and drink manufacturers are given a chance to showcase their latest products, whether edible or not. Some come to introduce their newest flavors in a series of snack foods while others come to find buyers for their newest ice cream making machine. It is a social gathering where people either purposely go to meet new business associates or like me, go for curiosity’s sake.
It’s always interesting to attend this event because we don’t usually get to see food products, food packaging equipments, and even a cooking contest or food demo all at the same place and at the same time. And then there are just so many people roaming around, trying to canvass prices or lining up for freebies. And yes, not to mention, the number of free tastes that you can actually get, and you can always go back to the same stall for a second round of free tastes. Who knows? You might actually like it that you will be encouraged to buy that product. After all, that’s what expos are for – to get you some new stuff to taste and take home.
Release yourself from your hectic schedules and stressful lives and head to the World Trade Center this May 6-8, and enjoy the comfort that food has to offer. Invite your family, friends, and colleagues to this fabulous event, and have fun the whole day together! Learn new stuff, watch aspiring and professional chefs prepare mouth-watering dishes live in action, try something fresh to the taste buds, and bring home lots of goodies.
This is, I say, something you shouldn’t really miss. Let me repeat that. You shouldn’t miss.
With 100php entrance fee, IFEX is totally worth it! I’ve been to IFEX for two consecutive years, and I am still excited for this year’s. So come on, join me and many others in this lovely event!
Don’t tell me you’re turning down free tastes.
