Normally, we would find videos of people who are trying to show off their singing talents [or who just want to sing] while playing some sort of a musical instrument, such as the guitar or piano, on Youtube.
But that’s not the case for Applegirl, a Korean who has posted a few videos on Youtube showing that she can sing Lady Gaga’s ‘Poker Face’ while reproducing the melody not from her piano or from any musical instrument, but from her iPhones. Yes, you heard me right. iPhones. Apparently, she’s able to use iPhone apps to create the melodies of the songs that she wants to sing.
Pretty amazing, huh? I thought so too. I just don’t know what apps she’s using because unlike her, I don’t own an iPhone. I think she was trying to say it at the start of the video, but I couldn’t make out what she was saying, so I leave that for you to figure out. But, what she’s doing is actually very interesting since we’re probably used to people playing musical instruments to accompany their singing but not people who sing to the tunes they’ve generated from their iPhones. Nice one, Applegirl! It’s very innovative of you! I was seriously amused by how you’re able to do that. 🙂
Well, don’t expect her voice to be as good as Lady Gaga’s or some professional singer. After all, what we’re commending her on in this post is the way she’s able to revolutionize the more conventional piano playing or guitar playing while singing a song. She’s trying to prove that with our iPhones, we can learn to make good music with the right apps. Interesting, huh? So, all of you with iPhones out there, try this out! Who knows? One of these days, this will be used by the music industry, and you will be one of the trendsetters.
Even though she doesn’t sound like Lady Gaga or something, I didn’t say that she was that bad too, so check her videos out! They’re really cool! You can find her ‘Poker Face’ video here. She has also made one for Beyonce’s ‘Irreplaceable’.
Thumbs up, Applegirl! Make more videos!
