We’ve watched the trailers and raved about their awesomeness as we stepped out of the flooded cinemas, but which film really got the factor to bag a Golden Globe this year? Which among the television shows and series we were (and still are) crazy about proved that it’s got the excellence factor enough to escalate our crave for our favorite guilty pleasures? And who among the most celebrated celebrities today entered the Beverly Hilton Hotel with an outfit for the photos and exited the event with a trophy for the headlines?
Now on its 68th year, the Golden Globe Awards celebrated artistry, talent, and glamor last night with its hundreds of A-lister attendees who were dressed to the nines (or not) for the event. Some of the most notable fashion models on the red carpet were Mila Kunis who looked absolutely stunning in a green Vera Wang creation, Leighton Meester who totally nailed it with a Zac Posen look, Catherine Zeta-Jones who had an emerald gown designed by Monique Lhuillier complimenting her skin tone, and Anne Hathaway whose beauty shone even more brightly with an Armani Privé original.
However, what is more beautiful than all these glamorous dresses is the moment of joy and pride that the winners of the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards shared to their families, friends, and their numerous fans who have supported them all the way up to the moment they were standing on the stage and holding that trophy with a sweet, glorious smile on their faces.
Probably the biggest winner last night was The Social Network which showed that anything Facebook is not only viral on the internet but also on the awarding ceremonies as it snagged 4 wins for the movie category. And it’s three claps for Glee as it took home a total of three wins for the television category, including Best Musical/Comedy, Best Supporting Actor and Actress for TV Series, Miniseries, or Mini Movie. As for the star of the evening, Natalie Portman has got to be the most notable as she proved to the world that all the praises she’s been getting for her performance as Nina in Black Swan weren’t all just lip service.
